Welcome Fill

A welcome card made for baby Fill.

When I was asked to design a baby card for my godchild Fill, the brief was simple but full of heart: include a tree, the family dog, and big sister Fran — all wrapped in sage green and ocher yellow. The rest was up to me.

The final design became a little story in itself: a hand-drawn treehouse, with Fran proudly hoisting baby Fill up in a basket, while the family dog peeks out from a cozy tree-hole below. I created the illustration in Procreate, keeping the lines soft and playful. The name “Fill” is set in a custom-tweaked font to give it a more personal touch. With a limited palette of sage green and ochre yellow, the colors feel calm and cheerful — just like a good beginning should.
